NEWS: Bud Communications continues growth trajectory, adding new hires and clients to growing Australian stable

Independent public relations and content agency Bud Communications has landed several major account wins in the first half of 2026, adding manufacturing giant Daikin to its roster, while also being appointed by WEX, a global leader in intelligent payments and fleet management solutions, to lead public relations across the APAC region.

These brands join Bud’s longstanding local client list covering the enterprise technology, ecommerce, corporate and consumer sectors, as well as global partners across the APAC region including automotive leader AC Mobility and new energy vehicle manufacturer BYD.

Capping off a strong first half, in August Bud Australia also won its first industry award, being recognised as a top PR Agency in Australia and New Zealand at the PRovoke Awards.

Bud’s proprietary Believability Framework (BBF) has played a major role in the agency’s new business pitches, helping articulate where a brand’s real credibility lies and the white space it can occupy. BBF turns subjective ideas like trust, credibility and authenticity into a structured, scoreable diagnostic, with the framework shaping ongoing PR strategy for Bud’s clients.

“Australia has been one of our best growth stories these past two years,” said Oliver Budgen, CEO and Founder at Bud Communications. “Going from a one-person outpost to a fast-growing team, and picking up accounts like Daikin and WEX, largely through word of mouth, comes down to how we work: focusing on building client believability, adopting and applying new technology, and nurturing a culture that lets us attract people who’d rather challenge how comms is done rather than repeat it.”

Bud has also recently added to its content team, bringing onboard former AdNews Deputy Editor Ashley Regan as the agency’s Senior Content Executive. Regan has spent six years in editorial and content roles, working across a variety of clients and industries, most notably specialising in the Australian media and marketing sectors. Her work has been recognised at the Australian IT Journalism Awards (The Lizzies).

“We’re thrilled to have someone of Ash’s journalistic calibre join Bud’s Australia team. Not only does she expand our presence to Melbourne, she also brings a wealth of experience across industries where the majority of our clients do business. Her addition further demonstrates Bud’s ability to provide both best in class PR and genuinely impactful marketing content for our partners.

“Alongside the slate of new client wins we’ve had in the first half of the year, it’s been an extremely positive period overall for the business and we’re excited to continue our upward momentum,” said Richie Kenzie, Australia Lead, Bud Communications.

Bud Communications is headquartered in Singapore, with offices in Sydney and Manila, as well as operations in Malaysia, Indonesia and Japan. Since launching in Australia in 2024, Bud Australia has grown from a one to a four-person team, servicing clients right across the JAPAC region.
